Marshall Sitten has been a communications strategy professional since 1998, advising a broad portfolio of private companies, United Nations agencies, and public sector organizations. Most recently, he has performed work for World Radio Switzerland and the International Organizations MBA at the University of Geneva, a unique program which trains managers for careers in the United Nations, non-profit, and socially responsible business sectors. Before co-founding Flashing12 Communications in 2006, he worked as consultant and Chief Technologist at TSD Communications, where he worked with clients such as the Center for Democracy in the Americas and the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities on how to effectively use technology as part of an overall communications strategy.
Sitten received a BA in Psychology from the University of Maryland in 1997, and received his MBA from the University of Geneva in 2009. In addition to his work with Flashing 12, he is currently performing doctoral research in Service Science for the HEG Geneva Service Lab, studying the use of ethnomethodology and theatre-based reenactment in the design and improvement of public sector services. He currently lives in Brooklyn, New York with his wife Irene and their two cats, Laszlo and Nikita.
