John Johnson brings to Flashing12 a strong combination of hands‐on experience with media outlets, trade associations and non‐profit groups. He has led and developed eLearning initiatives at both AT&T and Cision (formerly Bacon's Information). At the Center for American Progress, Johnson led the web team through the organization’s launch and first two years of operation, in addition to providing technical consultation for senior staff. The Association of Trial Lawyers of America hired him for his technical expertise, and during his tenure there he performed a major website overhaul.
Johnson started his technology career at USATODAY.com as a content developer. He was part of the dot‐com boom in Silicon Valley, developing online advocacy tools and managing the online operation of the Los Angeles‐based game show, The Big Idea. In June 2005, he earned his Master's at The George Washington University in Education, with a focus on technology and leadership. Johnson specializes in making things work. He bridges the gap between concept and reality with friendly communication, honest assessment and a realistic, positive approach.
